We have an excellent opportunity for a talented restaurant General manager to join the an established team at Manchester's famous Trafford Centre. The successful candidate must have a proven track record in leading a large team in a high volume restaurant environment.
First established in London back in the summer of '98, giraffe have now grown to 37 restaurants, nationwide with more on the way! There are exciting times & opportunities ahead for the right candidates and working at giraffe is fun as we don't take ourselves too seriously but take what we do very seriously. Several awards later we have a reputation for not only great food but great service too.
The role & responsibilities of a giraffe General manager
•· Inspire, motivate and lead a team and maintain quality, consistency & speed of service in our busy restaurant operation
•· Recruitment of new employees & a strong understanding of UK employment law
•· Train, coach & appraise a team at every level - from induction through to development plans
•· Possess a strong understanding of the business with excellent commercial acumen
•· Consistently control & deliver financial results and profitability against budgets
•· Contribute to a strong and motivated team and display a positive attitude at all times
•· Manage a large team, working under pressure and deliver giraffe's core values
•· Comply with all current legislation relating to Health & Safety, Food Hygiene and the Licensing Law
The General manager must...
•· Have Excellent written and verbal communication skills both internally and externally
•· Possess excellent planning & organisation skills
•· Have a proven track record in leadership and commitment
•· Show a thorough understanding of the casual dining market
•· Have completed a minimum of 2-3 years continuous service as a General manager, in a similar working environment
•· Have proof of eligibility to work in the UK*
•· Have written references available upon request
•· Have evidence of a valid National Insurance card*
•· Be available for interview and trial (if required) and also be ready to start within 4 weeks.
