Prime opportunity for an experienced Sous Chef to join exciting, established leader in the branded restaurant scene.

The Sous chef's role & responsibilities...

 

•·         Reporting to the Head Chef as Sous chef you will be responsible for supporting the daily management of the BOH operation

•·         You will demonstrate an eye for detail, lead by example and teach at every opportunity

•·         You will prepare, cook & present all dishes in accordance with company standard, maintaining quality, consistency & speed of service in our busy restaurant operation

•·         You will assist in the recruitment of new employees & show a strong understanding of UK employment law

•·         You will assist the appraisal of a team at every level - from induction through to development plans

•·         You will consistently control & deliver financial results (GP's & Labour) and profitability against budgets set

•·         You will manage a large team, working under pressure and deliver giraffe's core values

•·         You will effectively manage all current legislation relating to Health & Safety and Food Hygiene

 

The Candidate must...

 

•·         Have a confident, approachable and motivating personality

•·         Have excellent  communication, planning & organisational skills

•·         Be self motivated, flexible and ambitious

•·         Have a proven track record in leadership and commitment

•·         Possess a thorough understanding of the casual dining market

•·         Have completed a minimum of 2-3 years continuous service in a management role in a similar working environment

•·         Have proof of eligibility to work in the UK*

•·         Have a minimum of two strong written references

•·         Have evidence of a valid National Insurance card*

•·         Be available for interview and trial (if required) and also be ready to start within 4 weeks.
